In May 2004 the Great Jones Repertory presented Seven: Seven Greek Myths in Repertory which included Medea, Electra, Trjan Women, Mythos Oedipus, Seven Against Thebes, Antigone, and Dionysus Filius Dei.

How could I get to read the text of "Clytmnestra's Tears" written by Avra Sidiropoulou, since I cannot see the play, I am in a run here in Brazil with my play "Newborn Eyes"?

I am Nicholas Gilman, son of Esther Gilman (www.esther.dreamhost.com) who worked on many sets at La Mama, as you know.. I performed in a play at La Mama in around 1966-7 in a children's theatrical company. Can you remember what it was? I even sang in it!!!

While a student in the Hunter College Theater Department in 1974 I bluffed my way into a job as a technician at NBC. I was immediately welcomed, befriended and inspired by a stage manager there named Fred Lights.
My uncle recently spent a very trying two months at Weill-Cornell in Cardiac ICU. As my wife and I visited, looking out over the East River, we were both reminded of the day we visited Fred after his kidney transplant. It was only a day or two after the procedure but through all the suffering he flashed us that great "Fred" smile when we walked into his room.
Over the years as my life and career took me into new directions and away from old friends I often thought of him.
I miss him greatly.
it's funny everybody has different memories, i lived in NYC for a short while I worked at a
restaurant named Phoebes, which was next door to La MaMa ( the original owner has long since died, leaving it to his male house-person)
and I remember Ms. Stewart not being really well liked, a bit pompus actually - I guess I'm rehashing old thoughts, As Norman Mailer died this year
I remember Richard Adan the kid who Jack Abott killed at Binibon's funny I was supposed to work that shift, but I quit that very day
and you ( Ms.Stewart) are still alive,remarkable, i still don't like you. I remember a different person.

Dearest Mamma,I am another child of yours who benefited from your kindness and generosity to all mankind irrespective of color or race. I came all the way from Nigeria in 1978 to take part in the year of the child project. Cecile was the Director and our mother Ellen was the Executive Director. It was indeed a wonderful time of learning and sharing. Mom, I have beautiful memories of you and la Mama. The poise and elegance that stand for Ellen Stewart will continue to be remembered by all your children. Thanks for that big heart of yours.
